AUO가 2016년 3월 262억7천만 대만달러(한화 약 9,331억원)의 매출을 올렸다고 최근 발표했다. 이는 전월 대비 27.7% 증가, 전년 동월 대비 약 24.5% 증가한 수치다.
이로써 AUO의 2016년 1분기 총 매출은 711억4천만 대만달러(한화 약 2조 5천280억원)을 기록했다. 이는 전분기 대비 14.7% 하락, 지난해 1분기 대비 25.4% 하락한 수치다.
AUO의 2016년 3월 LCD TV, 모니터, 노트북PC 등 대형 패널은 전월대비 35% 증가한 955만장이 출하됐다. 소형 패널의 경우 1천474만이 출하돼 전월 대비 26.6% 늘었다.
AUO의1분기 전체 출하량은 대형 패널은 2천443만장으로 전분기 대비 11.5%가 줄었고, 전년 동기 대비 8.8%가 줄었다. 1분기 소형 패널 출하량은 3천775만장으로 전분기 대비 13% 늘었으며 전년동기 대비 11.4% 줄었다.

AU Optronics Corp. (AUO)announced its unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$26.27 billion for March 2016, up by 27.7% month-over-month and down by 24.5% year-over-year. Consolidated revenues in the first quarter of 2016 were NT$71.14 billion, down by 14.7% from the previous quarter and 25.4% year-over-year.

Shipments of large-sized panels for LCD TV, desktop monitor, notebook PC, and other applications totaled nearly 9.55 million units in March 2016, up by 35.0% from the previous month. As for small-and-medium-sized panels, the shipments were around 14.74 million units, an increase of 26.6% month-over-month.

In the first quarter of 2016, large-sized panel shipments totaled 24.43 million units, a decrease of 11.5% quarter-over-quarter and 8.8% year-over-year. Shipments of small-and-medium-sized panels in the same quarter exceeded 37.75 million units, up by 13.0% quarter-over-quarter and down by 11.5% year-over-year.
